CUTE CARROT GAME

PROTOTYPING OUT SOMETHING SILLY

It's been a week since this Tweet, which not only was my most popular Tweet ever, it really inspired me to do something with the silly Carrot art and Carrot game concept that I was playing with.

Since that tweet, I started to Prototype out the game, making a lot of the mechanics up as I went along, making notes of what I think might be cool ideas for the future.

Here is where the Prototype stands:

  • Defend your Baby Carrots from pesky bugs.
  • Plant Baby Carrots (using Right Click) and move around tackling Enemies, in defence (using Left Click).
  • Press 'Space Bar' to start Enemy Waves - currently only two waves (for testing).
  • Press & Hold 'Z' too zoom out and see where the Enemies are spawning.
  • Baby Carrots and Enemies have working HP.
  • Baby Carrots can regenerate HP if they are feeling loved. Try spending sometime next you your babies! They also get sad if you leave them too long and are injured.
  • Enemies have a 2nd stage which activates when they finish eating one of your poor Baby Carrots. These Enemies can't be moved and regenerate health as well if left too long.
  • Basic Graphics and Animations in an attempt to bring it all together into something reasonable looking.

I will be continuing with this Prototype and aim to bring it to completion; however I am going to be mostly off grid for the next 6 weeks so this is as far as it will go for now.
